What to bring to your appointment

These items will help our staff to better assess your medical needs and provide you with the most appropriate medical advice and treatment.

Please bring along the following:

  • Your Medicare, DVA, Seniors or Concession Card
  • List of any medications or allergies and/or recent test results
  • New patients – Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill in a new patient and medical history form.
  • Overseas patients welcome – Fees apply.

How long will you need for your appointment

Do you need a standard appointment or a long appointment?

  • Standard appointment – One medical issue to discuss
  • Long appointment – Two or more medical issues to discuss (consultations regarding insurance, licences and aged health assessments require a long consultation).

Some consultations/procedures require more time for your doctor to adequately assess your needs.

Appointment bookings

To book a doctors appointment, you may either call or book online:

Urgent appointments – Where possible, please call ahead and we’ll prioritise your appointment.
Emergencies –  Please call ‘000‘ if you require urgent medical assistance.
After hours medical care – Please call National Home Doctors on 13 74 25.

Fee Information

Fee update 1st July 2023

Midland Medical Centre is a private billing clinic – From the 1st July 2023 all patients attending this practice will incur an “Out of Pocket fee” ranging from $23.80 to $44.60.

Please note – Different item numbers charged by doctors upon consultation, shall require upfront payment of the same amount and the rebate can be claimed on the spot. Health Care Card holders and Pension Card holders may be able to get more rebate from the Medicare depending on their eligibility, which should be confirmed with Medicare directly.”

Fees

We are a private billing medical practice. Please confirm your fees schedule with reception or your doctor when booking your appointment.

If you have registered with Medicare and they have your bank details, Easyclaim will refund your rebate straight into your account.

Some consultations are not covered by Medicare and will incur a fee including:

  • Pre-employment, drivers license and aviation medicals
  • Procedures
  • IUD insertion – Mirena or Copper T
  • MTOP
  • Iron Infusion
